Hawk's Hill Conversations

I have a qustion about that burton guy i don't really get what he is like he is kind of confusing to me because in the first part of the book you know how sometimes your mind foucuses on somthing other than the part that your reading and you keep on reading and you do't understand what your reading that is what happened to me when i was reading that part in the book.
Timber even though that did not happen to me, the best thing to do is just reread the same part over again and then you will probably understand the part you did not understand at first. Also I noticed how some people did not get the third chapter but I think the reason why is that it switched from the ladies talking, to Ben walking through the outdoors and trying to talk to wild animals. Also it was a long chapter.
You guys what do you think about the Badger making Ben talk to his dad.
Yeah, I also think that the badger makes Ben diffrent and by diffrent i mean like happy or like a diffrent boy kind of. Because Ben likes animals and the badger is just another animal but it is diffrent from the ones around the farm. well i know what i think about the badger making ben talk to his dad but i cant really desribr it.
I agree with you that people kind of got lost in the third chapter because people may have got tired of reading and didn't really comprehend the last part of the third chapter. oh ya and I think that it made him happy because it's different like Jordan said and it is different because it's something different then just talking to chickens and dogs every day
I am really exided to finish the book. How far is everybody in the book? And where are we suppost to read to tonight? I cant wait to see what happens in the next couple chapters.
kayla we are supposed to read to chapter 9 by that I mean through chapter 8. I think that the last few chapter will be good to because like Jordan said that the boy and the badger have just met again.
Jordan I dont think that the other people in town will care because all ben really talks to is animals and other people in town might not know him,they might have just seen him around town but have not talk to him.
Timber and Jordan, all 3 of us were wrong. Will said "I'll send someone off to the North Corners to raise a bigger search party". The search party looked and didn't find Ben, so how long do you think it will take to find him.
Zach, I predict that they will find him pretty soon because there is only four chapters left in the book till we finish the book, so I think that the parents will find him in the 11 chapter,and the reason why I think that it give the author a chanc to wind it down in the last couple chapters
When I was reading chapter 8 about Ben being lost and seeing Burton coming on a horse with his dog with him, I had wondered if Burton was returning to a trap he had set or part of a search party for Ben. After reading chapter 9, I found out Burton was looking for Ben, but Ben is afraid of Burton and his dog and Ben didn't even think that someone might be looking for him to take him home. He could have been rescued then.
Yeah that is a good pnt Zach, I predict that they will find him and then they will feel bad about making Ben feel that he was not important or something to make him run away into the wild in the 1st place. Then i think they will bond more as a family and spend more time with eachother. Then i think they will live happilyever after as a stong and close family.
Matt I thought that would be the first thing Burton would checked when he came out there. chapter ten was sad because after the incident with Lobo, it really felt like the badger and Ben were at the begining where they met in the first part of the story
Don't you think the badger would have found a new hole or dug a new hole when she saw Ben in her hole? This story is crazy, if I didn't know this was a true story I wouldn't believe it was true. Hey what do you guys think about the badger wanting to sleep with Ben? I think it is pretty weird because Ben is a human. Don't you think it was gross that Ben licked the badgers paw!! ewwww!
I didn't know that badgers could spray like skunks. Did you guys? Don't you think it was cool that the badger tried to disinbowel Lobo? Oh yeah, and poor Lobo.
Zach i also think it was extreemly gross that Ben licked the badgers hand! What was he thinking? What do you guys think about how Ben like attacked John when John found Ben. I thought the quote was weird. "For god sake, Ben, stop it,. I'm John. Stop it!" That is when you know that you have been haning around animals to much. Also the thing about the Badger and the spraying I did know that because when I was reading on skunks in third grade I found out that other members in the skunk/weasel family, could also spray a spray. But their spray is not as effective.
What I thought about them finding or John finding Ben was this. I thought that Ben had a disease or something. But after a while Ben calmed down.
What do you guys think about the Badger coming back, and by that I mean coming to the families house.

zach in the story when ben attackes john i thought it was because he hasn't been around ather people for a while and he may of forgot that it was his brother.i agree with you zach about goerge burton finding ben because burton is the most experensed tracker out of everyone looking for ben. i was surprised when all those people helped look for ben i thought most of them would say oh no big deal he'll come back some time so i thought it was cool all those peoplo helped look for ben
I think that book was good. I think that anybody who likes a book that concieds of dealing with the outdoors,animals and kind of like mystery type books wold like this book.If you had to rate this book on a scale of one to twenty what would you rate it as,I would it as a twenty because I liked that the dad (will) and the son (Ben)were not really close in the begining and at the end of the book they formed a better relationship.
timber i agree i would rate this book a 17. This was an awesome book. Do you guys think that the badger will live or do you think it will die. Why do you guys think that Burton would just shoot the badger on someone else's property? I thought it was awesome that Will stood up to Burton and said he would kill him if he ever came back to their property again.
jordon i thought when the badger came back to the house he would attack john because john is the one who took Ben from him. i think it is weird that the badger lived with them.
i agree with you guys to this book was pretty good.but when the badger came to their house i thought william was going to shoot the badger before ben got to her. i would rate this book a 16-17.
There is one little thing that I thought that this author could do better is that he could have added a better endin to the story so that if there is a second book then it he could leave it the way it was but, if there is not another book then the author should write another book that continues "Incident at Hawk Hills" because the author left us hanging kind of thing.what do you guys think?

I agree Kayla the chapters should be pretty cool because it is coming to the climax of the story also because Ben just met the Badger again.
